Kessler strings musician spotlight: Anna

Anna plays in many Kessler Strings duos, trios and quartets and is also available as a soloist. She is warm and elegant as a person and as a musician. You’ll hear her as our strong rhythmic back bone in small groups and her resonant tenor sound as a soloist.

Her presence is everyone in an ensemble, really. But here’s a few things where she really stands out on:

• Bach Cello suites – even when playing with more than one player, a nice contrast is to feature a single player
• The Swan – a cello classic that gives audience members goosebumps of the good kind
• You are the Best Thing -Ray LaMontagne – a great party song and also makes a fun recessional
• Borodin string quartet – a fabulous standout featuring a melody that starts with cello and then is passed around each string player. Romantic and classy if that is your vibe...

 
Where else might you hear her?
Anna is an incredibly accomplished musician. In addition to her work with Kessler Strings, she performs with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Indianapolis Opera, Louisville Symphony, Carmel Symphony, and Muncie Symphony. She has also played with a wide range of stars including Johnny Mathis, Harry Connick Jr, John Williams and Weird Al Yankovic (yes, you read that.. ask her about it sometime!).
